I wanted to change the icons to papirus because most of the icons are blue in the dock and found myself often clicking on the wrong icons because they are blue.

so I installed the papirus icon pack and set the icons in tweak and whenever i log out or reboot the icons default back to fluent and I'm definitely not liking this!.

This was there is a plugin trying to switch the icon and theme settings based on dark and light mode. This is a bug and will be fixed soon.

For quick mitigation, please run:

sudo rm /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/switcher@anduinos -rvf
