@dustymc I'd like some clarification on a type to pick for links to Morphosource.

https://arctos.database.museum/media/10684155

is a link to a Morphosource page (url), my guess would be that the type for this link should be text/html - correct? In fact, shouldn't ANY link to another webpage be that type?

for UCM Morphosource links, we specify the media type as what the intended media are, not text/html:

I think that is correct? Or at the very least it provides the user with useful information.

No, and that will break some devices. https://handbook.arctosdb.org/documentation/media.html#mime_type is for machines, and in this case should be text/html - which can be checked...

@dustymc ok, thanks for the clarification. I will need help automating changes to UCM media.

I am also wondering if we need more options under media_type or a media_type attribute. For instance, if my morphosource media all get updated to a MIME type of text/url, users will not see the resource description of tiff (the CT scan comes as a tiff stack vs. DICOM) or with a 3D model, they will not see the resource type of model/stl. I don't know if that feels important to other people - if it doesn't, I can plan on tucking these into a media_description or media_comment label.
