Centralised API Changelog

Could you please establish a centralised place to communicate all major and minor API changes? Every update currently floods us with errors, forcing us to diagnose unannounced modifications.

The API exposes data directly from the database, so there usually is no changelog available.

You keep randomly adding HTML pages without any warning. For example: The new "Too many requests sent in the same time. Please wait up to 1 minute and try again." however the API permits requests of this nature. We queue our requests to avoid going over our limit. If you made it JSON with a cause property, we could at least account for it and allow our system to scale accordingly.

@Clemintina That error doesn't seem to be anything we ever serve from our API service. Is the error a Cloudflare-branded page? The API shouldn't expose HTML, so if you're experiencing that, you can share more information either on this discussion or create a bug report here, under the website/API option.

Upon further investigation, it has become clear that the problem stemmed from an unknown limitation imposed by our hosting provider, rather than the Hypixel API itself. This oversight on my part led to an inaccurate assessment of the situation, and I regret any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
