Description
Historically, the thermal scattering laws (TSL) were given only for the following (light) moderators: hydrogen (in water, polyethene or zirconium hydride), deuterium (in heavy water), berylium and graphite. All other atoms were to be considered as free gases. Until now, Draglib have been produced with these data.
Recently, there has been an explosion in the availability of TSL for various molecules (see here). More importantly for reactor physics, TSL are now available for:
- UO2 (in ENDF-B/VIII.0, JENDL-5.0 and future JEFF-4.0 release),
- PuO2 (in future JEFF-4.0 release),
- oxygen in water (in JENDL-5.0 and future JEFF-4.0 release).
This has not yet been taken into account for the production of Draglib.
