We'd also like to understand a bit more about this, and DevDrives interaction with BitLocker.

DevDrives are considered Fixed-Data Volumes "FDVs" which means encryption can become mandatory (i.e. InTune) before allowing write access (depending on policy set up) -- even if the VHDX devdrive is already stored on a bitlocker enabled drive.

The drives are already encrypted as per #4816 and causes unnecessary double encryption.

@mattwojo - in the FAQ please add a note to the docs that state BitLocker encryption is supported on Dev Drive.
