Apply value to all substructures doesn't work for fields that were edited as strings

This is easy to test. For example open spwi118.spl and try to change the spell icon of the first header to "test" by editing it as a string. Try to apply value to all substructures. It will say it was applied to "0" substructures, and no changes are made.

Tested in Ubuntu 24.04, latest NI release.
