I believe that it should be possible to pass in a abort-signal to the queryClient.fetchQuery

If this is an intentional omission, OR already possible, feel free to close this idea.

queryClient.fetchQuery takes a queryFn, which gets the signal passed.

the signal is provided by react query, you don’t need to provide your own. It will be triggered when the last observer unsubscribes or when queryClient.cancelQueries is called
