No notifications received for new questions with followed tags

Describe the bug

When following tags, users do not receive notifications for new questions tagged with those tags. Notifications for other events, like answers to the user’s questions, work correctly. This feature appears to be unimplemented or broken.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Log in to your Apache Answer account.

2. Follow one or more tags (e.g., python).

3. Ensure that notifications for followed tags are enabled in your notification settings.

4. Wait for a new question to be posted with the followed tag(s).

5. Observe that no notification is received about the new question.

6. (Optional) Verify that you do receive notifications for other events, like answers to your own questions.

Expected behavior

When a user follows one or more tags and enables notifications for them, the user should receive timely notifications whenever a new question is posted with any of those followed tags.

Do you mean after following a tag, you can't receive email notifications for new questions under that tag?

@FanuelaPromatis Thanks for the feedback. May I ask if the question was posted by the user himself? For example, user A follows the tag Python, and then is the new question posted by A or by another user B?

@FanuelaPromatis I've just tried again to confirm that I can receive the new question email from the following tag.

First, make sure that the question did not go into review and was posted normally. Notifications are not triggered for questions that go into review. Confirm that you can receive notifications for new questions, or just notifications for new questions that are being followed by tags.

@LinkinStars I did what you mentioned above — the questions are posted normally, but I still don’t receive notifications, neither for new questions nor for questions with tags. I only get notified when someone replies to my question, so only the first section out of the three seems to be working. Normally, notifications for new questions or tagged questions should appear in the same inbox where I receive replies to my own questions, right?

@FanuelaPromatis It doesn't look like the issue has anything to do with the tag, as any new questions you can't receive email. There are two cases, one is that you have triggered the 50 questions per week limit. You can try switching to another account to see if you can receive email about the new questions. If that doesn't happen either, then please check the logs to see if there are any errors present, and get back to me if there are any. Thanks again.
