Not working in the Mendix cloud

The module works fine when using the Mendix Developer App connected to a local Mendix development environment on localhost.

However after deploying the app to the Mendix cloud I am unable to enter the quick login code. The numeric keyboard appears but while entering a digit the large dot doesn't show up. After completing the quick login code nothing happens. Tested both on iOS 8.4.1. and Android 4.4.4.

Perhaps there are some additional variables when using the module in the cloud!?

While debugging the issue I found that the functions of the SimpleLogin.js file are not executed because of the following error in the developer console in Chrome:

Uncaught ReferenceError: globalLoginRef is not defined
