how to save/load a basic program

how to save/load a simple basic program that I just typed on the device . Please let me me know if is a way . esp32Rainbow should fully emulate ZX Spectrum.

actually the Basic > save "filename" reboots the system. The snapshot has a totally different application is not a substitute

That’s weird - it shouldn’t reboot. However, unfortunately it’s not possible to do normal “save” and “load” as if you had a tape player. We don’t have tape emulation. Is there a reason why taking a snapshot will not work for what you are trying to do?

The snapshot functionality is limited , without the load/save functionality the basic program does not have access to snapshot and can't load or save intermediate results or files . I think the description of the product should make clear the limitations since the wording is " Fully emulates both..."
Is any way you can upgrade to this functionality or guide community volunteers that are willing to explore this possibility ?

It's definitely possible to implement full tape support - other emulators do it. But it is not trivial and the UI/UX can be difficult.

It would need the help of volunteers from the community to get it done.

I am sure , if you make the tools available , the ZX spectrum enthusiasts will jump on the project .
ZX spectrum has BASIC on the keyboard , if is a game machine then it will need 4-5 keys and no BASIC keywords .
I hope you can find a way and make it right.
