How to integrate to python project

Hi, just want to know if there is a demo on integrating pyxcp in a python project as a library. I just found the demos of running with a command line?

Well, for the big picture I started asamint (ASAM integration project).
I'm currently working hard on this, and I think the project will take more and more shape within the next weeks.

I join the discussion because I'm trying to integrate the library in a project. I'm having problem with the 'pyxcp_conf.py' because I would prefer to have it out of the main project folder. Is there a way to pass the file path at init?

The -c command-line option can be used if your configuration file is not named pyxcp_conf.py and/or not stored in your current working directory.

I'm trying to build a class to connect to the target and read, write data. At the init of my class I do

    current_dir = os.path.dirname(os.path.abspath(__file__))

    self.__change_value(comm_conf_file,
                        'c.Transport.Eth.host', self.connection_ip)
    self.__change_value(comm_conf_file,
                        'c.Transport.Eth.port', self.connection_port)

    # parse application a2l file
    self.a2lfile = a2lfile
    self.a2ldb = self.__parse_asap2_file(a2lfile)

    self.ap = ArgumentParser(description="Target Connect")

    logging.basicConfig()
    self._logger = logging.getLogger(__name__)
    self._logger.setLevel(loglevel)

and then to read I do

def read_characteristic(self, characteristic2read, verbose=False):
    with self.ap.run() as x:
        x.connect()
        data = self.__read_characteristic(
            x, self.a2ldb, characteristic2read, verbose)
        x.disconnect()

I should pass the file at init using an interface or a parameter.

If you need a method parameter, then use sys.argv.append() to add the -c construct programmatically.

btw.: If you want to read/write non-scalar calibration values, things are getting really, really tricky, I know this from my asamint project...

I did a few tries a couple of months ago and it was fine. Now I'm trying to integrate everything .. maybe it will become tricky :)
