Firefox e2e tests failing for spurious reasons

I'm seeing repeatedly failures with the error:

Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'getWindowHandles')

on the latest firefox versions. We likely need to migrate to cypress 14 to get proper support here, which seems to require vite and thus #1026.

The real error is likely:

Failed to spawn CDP with Firefox. Retrying...

for Firefox 141. The same workflow was working yesterday with Firefox 140, so for now I will simply make the Firefox tests an optional status check until it is fixed at the Cypress end (or better, find a way to pin the browser version).

Ok, seems even more complicated -- the way Cypress (all versions) interact with Firefox is via CDP, which was removed from Firefox 141 yesterday, so it might even be that it is currently impossible to tests Firefox 141, and we need to find a way to pin to 140.

Ok, actually, from #1291, it seems like e2e tests work fine with 141 and Cypress 14. It's just that our component tests are not properly configured... I'd rather we get a little bit behind on Firefox versions than we disable our component tests.
