I see in the readme that this is not maintained, but on pypi it's still in Alpha: https://pypi.org/project/xpdf-python/
You might want to consider to set it to Development Status :: 7 - Inactive or even delete it, if it never got to a stage where you think it provides value over pdfminder.six / pymupdf.
