Hi, Matter on ESP32-C3 is supported in the open source ESP Matter SDK: https://github.com/espressif/esp-matter, as well as in ESP ZeroCode: https://zerocode.espressif.com. The current ESP LowCode solution is dependant on the HP-LP core split, which is not present in ESP32-C3. However, we are exploring other ways to support LowCode on all the chips. Meanwhile, do try the other Matter solutions and see if they work for you. |

ESP32-C3 should support Matter due to its affordability and versatility. As one of the most cost-effective microcontrollers, ESP32-C3 significantly lowers the barrier to entry for developers and hobbyists alike. Supporting Matter on ESP32-C3 not only broadens the potential adoption base of Matter itself but also encourages widespread innovation and experimentation across a diverse set of applications.
Its general-purpose nature ensures compatibility with numerous projects ranging from home automation to IoT prototyping. Thus, integrating Matter into ESP32-C3 is strategically beneficial for both the open-source community and commercial IoT ecosystems, enabling broader participation, accelerating ecosystem growth, and enhancing accessibility for all.
