1. Convene & roll call, review meeting notices
- New participant introduced: Sudhanshu Katiyar (@NatwestProj).
2. Review action items from previous meeting
- Several action items remain open and were rolled over:
- Context Clearing PR by @kemereva still needs reviewers; @hughtroeger to review.
- Placement options proposal updated by @Roaders; further SWG discussion pending.
- Context metadata PR with @julianna-ciq in progress; no new updates.
- Destructuring issue: AI bot submitted PR to a fork; still needs review.
- Source maps merged; deployment pending.
- Update to date objects has not progressed.
- Instrument classification task still pending (@hughtroeger).
- CommonJS build issue: @hughtroeger to follow up with colleague.
- Noted that July typically sees slower action item closure.
3. Implementation corrections proposed via 2.2 conformance testing (5 PRs)
- Multiple PRs raised from conformance testing; some need rebasing (@robmoffat).
- @julianna-ciq identified architectural issues in the test suite; recommends a future rewrite.
- @julianna-ciq to raise a draft PR showing additional waits needed for tests.
- Changelog in PR Conformance 2.2: When adding a listener on the user channel, the payload.channelId should be nul #1614 requires a minor fix.
- Maintainer/editor reviews required before merging.
- Consensus that implementation corrections should be merged pending review.
4. Support Dynamic intent handler registrations in FDC3 web reference implementation #1613
- @Roaders implemented dynamic intent handler registration and context-specified intent listener.
- Editors/maintainers to review Support Dynamic intent handler registrations in FDC3 web reference implementation #1613; no objections in group.
- Consensus: Dynamic registration remains an optional ("MAY") feature, not required.
- Documentation to further clarify matching logic for intent/context in the standard.
5. Support the ability to specify where I would like a new app to open #1546
- Group discussed options: custom positions via metadata,
getPositions()API, or taking no action. - Recognised high complexity and platform diversity.
- Consensus to park the proposal; recommend using custom metadata for vendor-specific needs, allowing patterns to emerge before any standardisation.
- Deferred further development pending stronger evidence/consensus.
6. FDC3 Security In MonoRepo - NOT READY TO REVIEW #1627
- Not discussed due to lack of time.
- To be picked up in the next Identity and Security Working Group meeting by @robmoffat.
