Are you planing android support? And will synchronization be implemented? or is it torched for security reasons?
Who's implementing?
- I'm willing to implement this feature myself
The problem
I'd gladly use your fork of ungoogled-chromium, but no android support, and no sync, is a deal breaker for me. I found many browsers like this but they usually don't have sync or android support.
Possible solutions
I get that implementing synchronization is hard in a privacy based browser. That privacy factor removes many options for sync. I'm no programmer, but i have a solution, things like bookmarks are kept in .json files, which can be just encrypted by pgp, i think? IDK how are passwords stored, they can be encrypted w/ pgp. History same, u can use pgp. I don't think that extensions need to be encrypted. Now the great idea A user will make a username and password, password will be used as a PGP key, and all the important info will be ecrypted with the PGP key, and sent to a server, now to sync, u will use the username on another computer and like that will send a request to the server, the server will send the info package, and the browser will request your password to decrypt the info. I won't go to much detail, u can contact me on my email. ([email protected]). Thank you for reading.
