Linking to knowledge graphs

Hi,

I would like to evaluate REL when linking to knowledge graphs, such as Wikidata and DBpedia.
It seems from the documentation that this is in general not possible.

However, are there any modifications I can apply to allow this using a local knowledge graph dump?
These dump files are typically Turtle files, but can be converted into XML.
Without digging too deep into the code of REL, it seems it is specialized to handle Wikipedia specifically.
