What should this feature add?

Larger PNGs take up a lot of space,

It would be great to have JPG export and import built in. Metadata can be saved with the JPG.

Additionally, the ability to export both a PNG and an upscaled JPG would be really good.

PNGs are huge in comparison. Would like a JPG export (around 95 quality, possibly a setting) with metadata embedding.

Lossless is required for Canvas. We do not plan to implement lossy compression for outputs.
