[enhancement]: Do Not Auto-Scroll To Top Of Gallery When Starring An Image

What should this feature add?

The new update added 'infinite scrolling gallery' (no pages)

Which is cool, but it caused a major experience issue.

Consider the following situation:

• Generate 500 images (very common, especially with large dynamic prompt groups)
• After they're complete, scroll through them each one at a time, finding the ones you like
• When you find one you like, click the 'star' button
• PROBLEM: The gallery has now automatically scrolled back to the top. Unless you specifically remember the adjacent images to what you just starred, you need to blindly scroll and try to figure out where you left off. Commonly, these images are very similar in style, especially if you generated them in a batch, so they can be hard to differentiate at a glance.

In the old experience, this was much less of an issue, because you could remember "Oh, I was on page 7" but on the new experience, you need to remember "Ok I think I already looked at that image... maybe I didnt look at this one yet."

Ideas (both valid, IMO):

• Add back an option for 'paged' gallery
• OR do not scroll to the top of the infinite gallery upon starring an image

Currently, we scroll to the top when starring because we keep the currently-selected image in view, and it has moved to a new location in the list of images.

Which of these would you prefer when starring an image?

• Do not scroll, even if the currently-selected image moves to the top/bottom, having been starred.
• Select the next image in the list and maintain the scroll position.

I actually found an acceptable workaround for this. By disabling "Display starred images first", it allows me to star images without auto-scrolling around. So I can just selectively turn that off/on as needed.

But that being said, from your options, I think this would be my preference:

• Do not scroll, even if the currently-selected image moves to the top/bottom, having been starred.

Oh I forgot about that setting. Glad that works for you - but you do raise a good point. Even if you only forget to toggle that setting, just getting scrolled back to the top once is pretty annoying.

I reviewed the gallery auto scroll and unfortunately preventing it from scrolling when starring is kinda tricky 🤔 We'll keep this open and plan to fix it at some point
