What are these queries used for?

I'm using sqlx for the first times these days.

I just found out those queries executed from sqlx in my app, but I don't know what they are used for.

Can you help me understand?

  typname,
  typtype,
  typcategory,
  typrelid,
  typelem,

FROM

and

SELECT
  attname,
  atttypid
FROM
  pg_catalog.pg_attribute

Those seem like the queries run by the query! macro for schema validation

Yeah. But the thing is I'm not using macros at all. Only query_as.

So maybe they are also part of the query preparation, so that sqlx knows what columns can be extracted from result?

Yeah maybe. I was curious to understand why. Those queries are repeated many times also with the same queries created by me.

A bunch of such queries are defined in SQL-core describe.rs. Maybe you can trace them up to where they are used?
