Storing u64 in PostgreSQL with SQLx

Hey guys,
I am writing a Discord bot using the Serenity / Poise framework, which uses the u64 type to store snowflakes (e.g. User Id's, Channel Id's, Guild Id's etc.). Now, I want to store these identifiers in a PostgreSQL database using SQLx, but that doesn't support storage of unsigned 64 bit integers (at least natively).
Myself, I was thinking about storing is as numeric, and I saw someone online saying that you could store it as raw bytes, but I am wondering:
What are your recommendations on storing these u64 integers, and how could I easily go from the u64 type to whatever type I would use it in SQLx as?

I simply store them as a i64 which maps to a BIGINT in postgres

@Jan-DT Three things to keep in mind:

• Postgres does not have a native unsigned type.
• i64 and u64 are both 64-bits.
• If you are storing unsigned numbers out of range for i64 in Postgres, the only potential headache is you can't use numerical operations in Postgres directly. If you need that, you may want to store as NUMERIC(0) instead which allows for an arbitrary precision integers. You'll need to use BigUint from num-bigint though in Rust to map that.
