I would build Mathjax in only one file to include it in my single html page.

I have tried to create a bundle using webpack, but there are some rendering problems.

How can i do this?

There is not enough information here to answer your question. For example, what do you want included in your single-file version? Which input and which output formats are you planning to use, and which input extensions (e.g., TeX packages or MathML extensions)?

It would help to show us your webpack.config.js file, and the .js files that you use to call MathJax.

It would help to know what "some rendering problems" means.

There is an example of a custom MathJax combined component in the MathJax web demos repository. See the documentation for that example for details. There is also a completely custom build of MathJax that doesn't use the existing components at all.

I would integrate in a single portable html page, so i wouldn't use CDN links, but only "local" js/css in my html page.
So, the input should be TeX and the output must be html DOM elements. For example, having:

\int_{0}^{+\infty} \, x^2 \; dx
$$

I would see the integral symbol opening my html file.

I think the rendering problems are caused by incorrect font, e.g. I see unpretty integral symbols.

I have downloaded MathJax from documentation link in "self hosting" section, so I have es5 directory. Could you give me the webpack.config.js file to build an all-in-one Javascript file that can be included in my html page?

OK, TeX input and CommonHTML output, but what TeX packages do you need? Note that the CommonHTML output relies on web fonts, so you won't be able to have just a single HTML file alone without including those fonts along with it. So you would need local js/css/fonts.

Version 3 already includes single-file builds for many configurations. The tex-chtml-full.js file may be what you are looking for already; it has TeX input with most of the common TeX packages includes, and CommonHTML output. (See the documentation for other combined components and what they contain). You would need include the web fonts along with your HTML file, and would need to configure MathJax to know where to find those fonts (via the chtml.fontURL configuration option).

On the other hand, SVG output does not rely on web fonts, so using tex-svg-full.js might be what you want.

That is likely the case. If you have made your own webpacked version of MathJax, then it might not know where to look for the web font files, and you would need to set the chtml.fontURL configuration option to point to the correct location for the font files.
