React 19 with Webpack Host and Vite Remote - Not compatible

Hi,

I have two React 19 applications. The host is using Webpack and the remote is using Vite.
The host refuse to load the remote. The error I see in the console is:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Cannot use import statement outside a module

This worked fine with the older module federation libraries for webpack and vite, but not with the new Module Federation 2.0.
The opposite works fine (Vite host and webpack remote).

Any ideas?
