CSS Snippet for custom Task statuses not applying to queries

Hello everyone, sorry if this issue has already been solved elsewhere, this is my first time posting on a github discussion and I could not find any existing discussions mentioning this.
I have the Wasp theme installed, and I've followed the instructions in the guide to add custom task statuses according to the Ebullientworks theme snippet, and all was going according to plan until I started creating queries, and noticed the tasks within them are only styled according to the core status styles instead of according to the snippet!

What could be causing this and how would I resolve it?? If i switch to the Ebullientworks Theme, the query is styled appropriately, but I've really fallen in love with Wasp 😢

Edit: On further inspection, I've also noticed that it seems both styles are applied to the tasks outside of queries, since you can see that the tick from the core styles is applied on top of the checkboxes of all other styles except for "Todo"

Have you set up your custom statuses in the Tasks settings?

Well, the tasks within the query are not styled according to the CSS Snippet, while the tasks themselves, within the note in which they were created, are. This is not the case when I apply the Ebullientworks theme as a whole, in which case the tasks within the query are styled according to the theme as a whole:

Is this expected behaviour and I'm just failing to grasp something? Sorry if the whole issue is obvious, and thank you for taking the time to help me!

Really, I cannot give help on screenshots alone. It is too time-consuming and too unreliable - I may set up something different from yours in some subtle way.

Feel free to create a minimal sample vault with:

• Your Custom statuses set up
• The chosen theme and any snippets installed and enabled
• A few sample task lines
• A sample Tasks query
• Description of how to reproduce the problem, such as "open this note in Reading Mode"

Then:

• close the vault in Obsidian
• Zip up the vault's folder
• attach the Zip file here...

Okay, I feel quite stupid now, having only realized my mistake while setting up the sample vault you mentioned

The issue was with the CSS snippet I had downloaded from the Ebullientworks Theme, as I (for some reason) downloaded tasks-snippet-0.15.css, a 3 year old file, instead of the much more recent and obviously correct choice, tasks-snippet.css.

After downloading the aforementioned correct snippet, everything is working perfectly!

Thank you for your help, @claremacrae!! I could have gone hours beating my head against the snippet and I still wouldn't have realised had I not made the sample vault!
