Main focus of exploratory groups is to CREATE CHARTER.
Exploratory groups answer the "what" question, while working groups answer the "how" question.

Report from Standards Registry exploratory group, via Christine Perey: they reached out to groups that are doing/have done similar standards registry. Discussions occurred. Consensus was reached re: defining registry requirements and governance. Chairs are to be elected.

via Charles Beckwith/Greyland Fireworks: "Hearing the names of several global conglomerates on the 3d assets standards group, I would like to suggest that there should be some balance in every working group so there is representation from outside that sort-of Fortune 1000 sphere."

re: adding one's name to an exploratory group, via Christine Perey/Perey Research & Consulting, who gave the Standards Registry exploratory group status report: "If you add your name, please be prepared to work and really contribute to the group's project. There's a lot to do and having reliable contributors is very valuable."
