Introduction

Hello!

I am James Gonzalez, a current computer science student with a deep passion for creating technology for a positive impact in our society!
Coming from a humble background in Houston, I have seen first-hand how access to technology and its many opportunities can be transformative. I can't wait to develop my technical and collaborative skills, while getting to contribute to Open Austin's mission for the greater good!

What I know

Basic front-end development languages and frameworks: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript React (surface-level), Node.js, Next.js
Backend languages, databases, and frameworks: Python, Java, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Java Spring Boot
Git version control

What I want to know

First and foremost, I look forward to collaborating with, and learning from, others in a team setting.
I also look forward to learning some of the industry tech stacks that are most frequently used, while learning to work on projects that are meant to take on multiple requests at a time, as opposed to what I am used to in my local-running personal projects.
