Preventing keyboard from dismissing with FlatList in BottomSheet

Inside my I have a (imported from react-native-gesture-handler) with keyboardShouldPersistTaps="always", and yet when i start scrolling on this , the keyboard dismisses. Is there something I need to do with the props of to prevent this from happening?
