datatable: ag grid - how to perform group by on my data table

thank you first of all for put_datatable it has made loading hundreds of thousands of rows so quick :)
I am trying to use ag grid on my data and can do simple ag grid functions like pagination by passing those as a variable. However not able to perform group by fucntion. How can I do implement following (from ag grid) in my python program -

const gridOptions = {
    columnDefs: [
        // index = 1, gets grouped second
        { field: "country", hide: true, rowGroupIndex: 1 },
        // index = 0, gets grouped first
        { field: "year", hide: true, rowGroupIndex: 0 },
    ],

    // other grid options ...
}

You can use column_args param in put_datatable() to provide the columnDefs to ag-grid. For your case, you can use

put_datatable(..., column_args={
    "country": { "hide": True, "rowGroupIndex": 1 },
    "year": { "hide": True, "rowGroupIndex": 0},
})

Thank you so much! this is great! I got it work now along with pagination! I have one question though, would enterprise_key="test" will give me error in my application at some point. I see that group does not work without this option. Do I really need to buy ag grid enterprise version to use it?

Group feature is a enterprise feature of ag-grid. If you don't use a valid enterprise_key (like the demo), your datatable will show a "for trial only" message at right-bottom corner.
