Z-index is inaccurate

Why in the name of Odin would a z-1 and z-2 index be incompatible, using z-10 and z-20?

The more I use this library the more I don't get — even the gotchas.

A Tailwind Play link or public GitHub repo that includes a minimal reproduction of the bug.
