Is auto playing stories need Pause, Stop, Hide mechanism?

I wanted to discuss a scenario regarding a mobile app.

Currently, in mobile app, stories play automatically. However, I have concerns about meeting Success Criterion (SC) 2.2.2,
which states that users must have control over any time limits or interruptions within the content. In light of this, I am wondering if there is a need to implement a Pause, Stop, or Hide mechanism for the automatic playback of stories.

Moreover, if SC 2.2.2 does not directly apply to this scenario, I would appreciate guidance on any other success criterion that might be relevant in this context.
