Scope "hierarchy": Processing deleted messages

Are deleted messages in the source folder also deleted in the destination folder when I use the hierarchy scope? If not, would it be possible to implement such a function?

Any update in this idea? I guess a hierarchical sync from IMAP to local folder would be a great functionality to have an alternative for the offline storage from TB, that does not work for me to reliably.
