This PR is a minor cleanup for test code and misc native utilities:

Python updated to newer Pylint release.
Python test script updated to handle capturing Pylint and Pycodestyle output.
Obsolete native utilities deleted.

Work in progress:

Improving Python code to reduce Pylint and Pycodestyle issue list.
