Project Management Summary

We use Issues to track our development to-dos. We use Projects to organize and prioritize our outstanding issues into major milestone releases. Any member of our organization can add a feature request or identify a bug that needs fixing.

Before creating a new issue, don't forget to:

  • Search existing issues to see if we're already working on it on it
  • Add your thoughts to the conversation by commenting on existing issues
  • Review the conventions and tags for new issues

Conventions for creating a new issue

  1. When requesting a new feature title the request in terms of enabling a human being to take a specific action (e.g. "allow user to add multiple screenshots to a badge abuse report").
  2. Use the comments to provide as much detail about new feature requests as you can. Sketches or annotated screenshots are very helpful.
  3. When reporting a bug please include screenshots of the problem and include the operating system/browser you were using when the problem occurred in the description of the issue.
  4. Use label tags to identify the type of issue you are raising.

Keep issues organized with tags

  • affiliates: Features for or about our squad
  • bug: Problems or things that aren't working right
  • docs: Requests for info or improvements to this wiki
  • duplicate: Indicates that an issue already exists
  • external: Items concerning work on an offsite platform
  • feature: New user-facing enhancements to the site
  • GLHF: Updates to the public parts of the pledge
  • modstuff: Moderation system related issues
  • question: Indicates that further information is needed
  • staff: Concerns about our internal dashboard or tools
  • twitch: Involves our Twitch channel or badge integration
