Install instructions:

Get the latest build from the releases page appropriate for your operating system: https://github.com/AttacqueSuperior/ValiantShades/releases

Download and install, if necessary.

Note that the project requires Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge assets to function. This only needs to be set up once. The Content Manager will prompt their installation if they are missing. The Content Manager supports installation from RA2/YR install discs, the TFD install disc or an Origin installation, it is unable to install from existing installations from standard RA2/YR or TFD sources nor does it support the XWIS stripped setup.

If you need to install the content manually, copy ra2.mix and language.mix from RA2 installations/discs and ra2md.mix and langmd.mix from YR installations/discs to the following folders (optionally theme.mix and thememd.mix as well for music):

• Windows: <user>\AppData\Roaming\OpenRA\Content\ra2\ or it's legacy fallback: <user>\My Documents\OpenRA\Content\ra2\
• Mac OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/OpenRA/Content/ra2/
• Linux: $XDG_CONFIG_HOME (default: ~/.config/openra) or it's legacy fallback: ~/.openra/Content/ra2/

Valiant Shades is compatible with the Red Alert 1 stereo music pack of the Yuri's Revenge mod Red-Resurrection's but not compatible with the originally supplied RA1 mono soundtrack. In order to install this asset, you need to download it from the Red-Resurrection Discord and copy it to the above respectable folder.
