With this patch, the string is always padded on both the left and right hand side with LED_MATRIX_WIDTH spaces, so the text scrolls in from the right, and out of view on the left again.

With this fix, the text is padded on the left and right. The result is that the text scrolls in, scrolls past, and then scrolls away again before the next iteration.
