Code Review
This pull request upgrades apache-airflow-providers-google
from v10.2.0
to v17.0.0
. This is a major version upgrade and introduces breaking changes that will cause the existing DAG to fail. Before merging, code changes are required to ensure compatibility.
There are two main issues:
-
Breaking API change:
DataprocCreateBatchOperator
was moved. Incomposer/2022_airflow_summit/data_analytics_dag.py
, the import path for this operator must be updated fromairflow.providers.google.cloud.operators.dataproc
toairflow.providers.google.cloud.transfers.dataproc
. Without this change, the DAG will fail to parse. -
Inconsistent dependency constraints: The
composer/2022_airflow_summit/constraints.txt
file has not been updated and still specifies version10.2.0
forapache-airflow-providers-google
. This must be updated to17.0.0
to ensure a consistent and successful installation.
Both of these issues are critical and must be addressed.

This major version upgrade to 17.0.0
has breaking changes. The constraints.txt
file must also be updated to apache-airflow-providers-google==17.0.0
to ensure a consistent installation, as noted in the file's header comments. Without this change, dependency resolution may fail or result in an inconsistent environment.
