Updated validations.py python script.
Fixed the behavior of validate_user function in validations.py

#note accidentally made a pull request with my host systems repo as the base repo then realized i needed to instead change the compare to the improve-username-behavior branch.
Fixes #<issue_number_goes_here>

It's a good idea to open an issue first for discussion.

  • Tests pass
  • Appropriate changes to README are included in PR

I signed the CLA? i dont see why that's necessary though i just added a conditional statement to a baseline script for a qwiklab.

I dont mind the idea of contributing to open source projects though so why not

i figured out the issue "You may not be using the email associated with your CLA in your Git commits. Check that the email set on your git commits matches the email associated with your CLA."

i used a placeholder email for the qwiklabs for my commit so that's got to be the issue but i've closed out the qwiklabs by now.

I do have the CLA signed though and i am using this account (Sesquii) for my main coding journey
