This is base implementation in order to support new Technic Move hub from LEGO 42176 set via implementation of PLAYVM command as some of generic LWP3 command might not be working.

Working features:

  • device test page A / B/ C/ and all 6 LED channels
  • drive A / B / C motor (virtual AB channel for motor)
  • set all 6 LEDs
  • servo can be applied for C channel only
  • stepper is not allowed at all
  • reset output is enabled

Limitation:

  • PLAYVM servo handlig for C channel seems to be working
  • stepper does not seem to be working on port C, therefore it has been disabled in UI
  • I've disabled auto calibration, but this can be somehow implemented in feature

How do I patch the app ?

Hi, I'm just a contributtor here, but I guess you would like to have this feature released.
Officially you need to wait till this pull request is merged and the app is released. Which is the question for the author @imurvai .
Alternativally:

  • you can build this branch by yourself using Visual Studio or some docker image for building it
  • if you trust unpublished apk, you can have a look at my fork I maintain for myself, which contains support for LEGO 42176, with all the risks it e.g. will be overwritten once the official app is released and you might loose your current creations. Here is the link to the most recent build where you can find an artifact with Android version of the app: https://github.com/vicocz/brickcontroller2/actions/runs/12967591255
