It was documented that a timeout could be set for webpushes, but there was no logic behind it.
I added Webpushes many years ago: https://github.com/jazzband/django-push-notifications/pull/434/files
I documented this feature... But I guess I didn't upload the corresponding logic by mistake o_O
I changed the webpush timeout to 1 to have the same value as APNS
