Opened a new PR to replace PR #14512 as various further additions made.

Summary of combined changes:

  • 9 non-working Hudson Soft games in WAV format now working. New working WAV files converted from MZT files (which do not work) on Gaming Alexandria, using DumpListEditor.
  • 1 non-working game converted from WAV to MZT, which fixes issue at the end of loading sequence which seemed to cause the software to freeze.
  • All 20 MZ-2000/MZ-2200 versions of Inufuto games, all working. MZT versions do not work but Inufuto site provides both MZT and WAV originals. WAV versions all work so used here. These have been added in a new homebrew section at the end of the software list.
  • 5 additional clones - add working WAV versions of MZ-1Z001 BASIC, MZ-1Z002 BASIC, Star Stream, Vosque 2000 and Harvest (Color) ensuring non-working MZT versions are preserved.
  • 40 new additions, all fully or partially working.
  • Change to compatability for Amateur Tennis - this is a mono only version (there is a separate colour only version on one of the games compilation disks in the proposed additions to mz2000_flop in pull request 14428).
  • Where publisher is unknown, this has been marked as for consistency with other software lists for both new additions and any existing entries.

The vast majority of these are in the original format. A handful of MZTs are unconverted where these work. Most had MTI extensions but are WAV files so have been renamed accordingly.

A small minority of non-working MZTs have been converted to WAV using DumpListEditor. Some software originally in MTI format froze when loading complete. These have been converted to MZT using DumpListEditor and the freezing issue is resolved.

It has not been possible to resolve this freezing issue with a small number of additions, but a manual hack allows these to run - software does not automatically run (Monitor) or show Ready prompt (BASIC) when tape loading completes, but removing the tape image triggers this, allowing the software to run. It is not clear if this is an issue with the emulation, an issue with these dumps or an issue with the original tapes or indeed a bug in the original machine. But this replication of ejecting the tape triggers the automatic end of loading process. As these run but require this manual intervention, they've been marked as partially supported.

All dumps sourced from TOSEC repositories (largely from UnRenamed Files - Japanese Systems I and Rock's Preserved Games) except the 9 Hudson Soft games sourced from Gaming Alexandria.

Additions and enhancements to mz2000_cass software list.
