My thought was that it would pollute the log dir with useless old logs. When testing an atom, we care about the atom we are testing with the current state of the tree. I couldn't came up with a use case where it would be useful to have old logs for a given atom. Specially since we don't currently store the commit id for ::gentoo and overlays (which we could do), right now old logs would be just junk. |
