I believe I somehow managed to do this migration (finally!).

• I add to remove the CPU consumption reading from the example because the psutil crate uses a yanked version of the platforms crate
• There seems to be a small glitch left in the example app: sometimes the first data point seems to disappear for a few seconds.

Blockers:

• wait until my changes are in a conrod release (currently using a fork) Update glium and winit backends PistonDevelopers/conrod#1443

Merge is blocking for now, as I cannot push to Crates.io a Cargo.toml containing Git dependencies. Will do whenever upstream has merged & published all your PRs.
