A documentation for work done in the group of Sonia Kéfi and Vincent Devictor at the Institut des Sciences de l'Evolution in Montpellier (ISEM).
This repository is meant to establish best-practice protocols for our work in general and for programming & writing in particular. This includes project management and productivity, online collaboration, version control and improvement of programming techniques.
We started to use git for version control and collaboration. These sites will contain information about how to set it up properly and how to include it into the daily workflow.
As programming languages used in the group are diverse (C++, R, Matlab), this repository aims at being our collective knowledge base in these languages. It should include general good-practice advice as well as nice solutions and functions in all languages.
Well, just use the buttons and edit whatever you like.
Good to know:
- The files are written in Markdown
- in the editor mode of any page, you can always update the sidebar and footer
- Since there is no user management system behind, you might want to state your authorship or contribution at the beginning of an article, just below the first header (e.g. by Sonia and Flo) or the header of the paragraph you contributed. This might be useful for further questions on the issue.
- You can clone the entire wiki using git and run it offline
