When a mapped policy on data source fails, an issue will be created in the Platform. This issue will track every occurrence of this failure on each report run. Issues can ben assigned to one or more owners who will be notified via email every time a new occurrence of the failure happens.

Viewing an Issue

Issues can be viewed either from the Issues tab in a data source report, or from the Issues item in the left navigation. When on either screen, click on the Edit button to view the details of the issue in the side-panel.

Editing Details of an Issue

Details for the Issue, including priority, assignees, and discussion/comments can be edited in the issue side panel.

Resolving an Issue

If an issue has been resolved, the status of the issue can be updated to Resolved. Be sure to enter a detailed description of how the issue was resolved in case the issue re-occurs. Resolution steps will be pinned automatically to the top of the history list. The pinned message can be changed by selecting the 'resolved' icon that appears when you hover over any comment in the history.

An issue with designated resolution steps will be marked in the Issue table with the 'resolved icon.

Closing an Issue

The Platform will automatically close an issue if there are on occurrences of that policy failure in the next data quality run on that data source.

Snoozing an Issue

Clicking on the Snooze button will stop email notifications from being sent for that particular issue on new occurrences.
